What's the point of life if you are worthless and unloved?

Seriously. No dramatics. What if you woke up tomorrow to no family or friends or work to complain about. You had been a lot of places, done a lot of things, you'd kept yourself entertained, but a strange awakening happened that you realized it was all pointless. So I started this company, I sold it and they dissolved it. So I married this guy, I cheated on him and lost him. So I traveled and took pictures of places, a lot of people before and after me took those same pictures. So I can diet and lose weight or eat more and gain weight. What if everything seemed pointless? Please don't do the generic politically correct answer of you need therapy. I've talked and have relationships with therapist, they all tell me I'm not crazy, but lack purpose.

I agree there is no point to my life that's why I went to see them in the first place. One told me I lived like a retired person and that would bore him too. So I asked what he did with his time, he said he's always trying to get new clients, he has a wife, they are saving money for their house, she is pregnant, and they are expecting their second child, there is not even time to think about what to do, it's just get it done.

I've tried volunteering literally 80 hours a week, it did nothing for me, a different face same story. Mold people would die, even though I took the to the gym the week before. Abused women would go back to a users. Children would be put in foster care and go back to their abusive parents. The same stories rewritten in every face.

I tried working out to get healthy, 6 hours a day. Got in great shape, but for what? to prolong my life? No thanks, and there really isn't any evidence to suggest it does anyways.

I started a new company. I had some success it generated 2$ million in revenue, but why...what is the point?

I even got involved in politics argued with the best of them, got funding...even worked on strategy with a presidential candidate. For what? To try to find purpose.

I've tried everything I can think of to give my life purpose and meaning, I've prayed, cried, stayed up late at nights, partied, fallen in love, cared deeply for people, but still at the end of the day... I don't get it. I don't get what I'm supposed to learn, I don't get what I supposed to do, what's supposed to stress me out, what I am doing here.

One therapist blames it on me losing a child, but I disagree. I wouldn't want my child to have to be bored with life like I am either, just a lot of pain, sadness, chasing a carrot that doesn't exist if you ask me.

Could we and should we build an Enterprise Spaceship like this?

I think we should explore space. I think it is natural for humans to explore. It is a mistake to discourage space exploration.

A thread on here made me think of this.....

I know that the best Woman's Soccer team is the American national team, which to a soccer fan is a great accolade..,. yet, America don't think that much of soccer... is that because you see it as a girly game or are the girls just better clued in as to what is the game of the GOds?

What about all that junk mail?

Well, when you get piles of junk mail... find one with a prepaid envelope. Remove your name from all junk mail and mail it all in the pre-paid envelope to one lovely vendor.

This way their postage won't go to waste!

You're Welcome.

Harassing telemarketers...

I have been getting multiple calls from a company called "Home Security Group" asking whether I own my home and if I would be interested in having a free security system installed in my house as kind of a "model home" kind of thing.

They have been calling me sporadically for months now and no matter how many times I've asked them to take my cell phone off of their call list, they have not done it. They called yesterday and I yelled at the guy put me on their do not call list. They called again just now, so I politely got as much information about them as possible including the name of the manager in their LA office and a phone number where I could reach them.

I thought I added my phone number to some sort of national do not call list some years ago. Anyways, is there an agency or someone I can call to file a formal complaint against this company? I've asked them around a dozen times to stop calling and I'm over it.

Update: May 16, 2012.
I just filed a complaint on the National Do Not Call website (although I doubt it will do any good). It's just frustrating, that's all. I've received a call from them every day this week so far and when I yelled at them yesterday, they called me today from a different number. I'd love to just ignore all calls I don't recognize, but I use my cell phone for work and sometimes get work calls from unrecognized numbers. If I want to have fun with it, I might just try to sell them stuff in my garage, but I think they would just hang up and try again later. Maybe the only real way to get rid of them is to make them lose interest in me. I could tell them that I don't own my home or that I foreclosed on it. Maybe that will work. Thanks for all your input!

I think it's sad that people get so harsh with some members who post on here.

They insult, ridicule, judge, and make assumptions about someone based on a short blog. It's a q&a site where people are supposed to feel comfortable asking for advice and it seems like some people just come here to bash on others. If you think someone's question is ridiculous, then don't answer it. Simple as that. People are asking for advice, not your opinion on what you think of them.

Shame on all of you who constantly do that!
End of rant.

Update: May 16, 2012.
Thanks for your responses! I'm actually a long-time member. Signed up in 2007. I didn't post this about one specific post or member. I posted this because I've been seeing a lot of people who are very hurt and confused who are looking for help and they come here hoping to find that. We have a responsibility as members of this site to respect it's goal: to put an end to miscommunication between the sexes. Calling someone stupid, labeling someone by any name instead of telling them exactly what they're doing that you do not agree with, or blaming someone for something when you only have 1/2 the detail doesn't do anything but help the respondent vent out his or her frustration because someone in this world isn't handling a situation exactly the way he or she would handle it. Mindful advice could mean the difference between someone's decision to have hope and carry on or give up and commit suicide. I hardly expect bullies to stop being bullies. But we can have a significant affect on an anonymous stranger's life. What kind of affect do you want it to be?
