Advice on getting rid of cigarette smoke?

I'm trying to get rid of the smell of cigarettes in my house. I know it would take washing carpets, replacing drapes, etc. to really get rid of it. Are there any quick tips to help just to start the process though? I've been using Febreze but it isn't helping much.
