would you hire an illegal alien if you could get the job done at half price?

As opposed to what, hiring a legal alien and paying full price? When I pay for something to be done, I want it done correctly and if that means paying more, so be it. I'm not sure what your residency status has to do with it.

Yes I would, if it was a personal job in my home.... I would not employ them if I had a company though, the fine is to big..

No. I'm not going to help someone get a job who is in the country illegally. There are plenty of people who are here legally who could use the work.
