Does anyone actually own an ENTIRE set of encyclopedia's?

I've never been to a home that actually had an entire set.

Everyone I knew growing up just had random strays they'd picked up here and there and nothing we could ever use to complete a homework assignment with. lol

Yes I do! Of course it's about 50 years old, and I'm sure alot of the information found in them, is incorrect now.

When I was a kid, my Dad spent a FORTUNE on a complete set of Encyclopedia Britannica that we used almost daily for school. It was my "pre-internet" method of getting info.

I had left over world book encyclopedias A to Z and yearbooks 1977 to 1980 something but I went into high school in the 90s and still had to use the library to do reports- my parents didn't trash them until after the new milineum:)

I no longer own any encyclopedias. If I need to find out something I can use either the computer or my smart phone. BUT both of the sets I spoke of in my response to buffer were complete sets. I also used to own a complete set of the Encyclopedia Americana, myself. However, since the ex-wife got custody of the kids, she also got the encyclopedias. I'd finished college by then and they would need them more than I would.
