some times you are just trying to ease the pain

function in a world you don't fit into

sometimes you just don't know about therapy

some time...............the thing that you have to face is so

embarrassing and you feel so much quilt and your trust has been

so violated it is difficult to talk, it takes time to trust and

that is necessary before all of the rest.

In a way drugs keeps some of alive until we get to therapy.

Therapy? Instead of smoking a joint?

The truth is that the drugs should be legal and regulated just like alcohol, tobacco and all the other drugs.

Community Rating: Community Star

People ignore the risks to gain a short term high disregarding the long term addiction. They are running from their problems in life by trying to numb themselves. It is a shame that adults cannot clean up their act and continue to justify illegal use of drugs and pot. Normally the rest of their life is in shambles as well. One day they will regret it . I feel bad for the children of these nitwits...If the parents do drugs normally the children do as well. Shame it is. Rosey

Yeah because in Therapy they can at least get their drugs legally...

I'm all for actual Therapy but nowadays that too often means "Aw, you are sad. Here take these pills and then take these for the side effects of those".

Drugs are bad when taken out of context, whether legal or not...

Those drugs are really, really stupid. The people who use them are really, really stupid. But it still should not be any of the government's business.

Whoa Jade, if it wasn't for illegal drugs, I wouldn't have job, you trying to add to the umemployment rate? Geeze. Take more drugs, just say no to stopping. Keeps me, emergency squads, emergency rooms, doctors, nurses and funeral homes in business, not even counting that the drug pusher can buy his kids Christmas presents, which keeps a whole bunch of other people employed. Did you ever look at it this way? LOL

Because the legal ones have too much red tape for the small (if any) kick,
AND
It covers or eases symptoms of bigger but more complicated problems that people do not want to acknowledge or deal with.

Illegal or legal, they both can have damaging effects and cost a fortune. They both are abused and can be habit forming. It takes less effort to get the illegal drugs. Don't you hear how they state rapid fire style, the side effects of the drugs advertised on television? I mean, aren't the depression drugs supposed to help? Why are suicidal thoughts one of the most common side effects, and have led to the death of many (especially, teens) that have used them? I'm not justifying the use of illegal drugs. But, I think most drugs are not good for you. I wish they would look into the legal drugs with the same focus they do on illegal drugs.

Oh, and also, therapy is very expensive, even with insurance. Because, most of the time you have to pay upfront and wait for your insurance company to reimburse you. I had a Psychologist that cost $100 and hour. That was years ago, I can't imagine what it is now! And, after you tell them everything that you're going through. They'll repeat to you everything you've said and give you information that you probably already knew and just didn't do. Then, go on to prescribe drugs that have side effects. And, most have to use for the rest of their lives. Don't get me wrong. I believe in therapy when it's warranted and truly is the solution depending on the person's problems. But, most doing illegal drugs, are not in need of therapy, they are doing it for recreation. Those that are addicted need more help than talk. Because, I'm sure most people have tried talking to them already. Some are bent on self-destruction. Unfortunately, sometimes, no amount of help can stop a person determined to die or hurt other.

I really don't know. However, someone I know said it's cheaper than therapy, you don't have to open up to someone you don't know, etc. The younger kids like the high but I believe that once they open that door to drugs it's easier for them to do alot more than just drugs. Also, what drugs are you asking about? Marijuana, cocaine? Read about them on the google site.

Most people cant afford therapy. They go and almost be helped than they run out of money. Which is sad. Also some people can be really addicted. So therapy wont break and addiction. I dont support all drugs. It depends what you want to say is legal and illegal. In CA pain and suffering they let you smoke weed. But if you smoke it for enjoyment you go to jail. But other drugs like Herion there is strong evidence to prove that drug is more addicting than weed and people have had herion overdoses. But I never heard of weed killing somebody. Maybe because one person that doesn't smoke enough in a certain amount of time I dont know why. Ciggs are perfectly legal but yet evidence proves that people die from ciggs and I might get second hand smoke and die of lung cancer just like a regular smoker. They should out law ciggs. But that wont happen. One nice thing about CA is all the resturants ban smoking so you dont have to breath it in. Even the bars. Ciggs are addicting but people dont go to therapy over it. Also theses illegal drugs hook you just like ciggs do and once you used one to try stopping is whole another issuse.

Back in the day.... My friends and I smoked pot, but did not use anything stronger. It was fun, made us laugh like hell, and it felt good to be stoned. I never got such enjoyment from drinking booze until I got drunk and puked everywhere. After about 2 years of smoking pot, I quit and never used it again. I think it was just a fun time we were going through, we didn't get hurt or hurt anyone else.
Now talking about drugs like heroin, PCP, and such.. I'd never touch it and only a total fool would.

Why do people drink? Smoke? Just because a drug is "illegal" doesnt' mean it's more sinister, or harder on the body than illegal drugs. I mean, even a zantac that was not perscribed to you specifically is technically an "illegal" drug.
