my cookie dough is falling apart. Can i add something to make it still usable

Your cookie dough must be too dry. If you might have used to much flour, or too little moisture.

You need to add some moisture: such as milk,egg whites, vailla extract. Add the moisture slowly; like a teaspoon at a time, so you can gage.

For future refernce: Chilling dough in the refrigerator makes the dough easier to work with. (room temperature dough falls apart and is often too sticky to roll out)
