When I met him 11 years ago...I was 24 years old.
That was one of the best days of my life.

Papa worked 18 hr days on a bread truck so vacations were seldom. He had never seen the ocean, nor had I. One wonderful summer he took our family to Ocean City Md. We arrived at sunset. And as soon as he got out of the car and donned his swim trunks, he and I went out into the waves. The joy on his face as he experienced the sea for his first and last time is something clear in my mind today. His face was radiant and pure happiness was in his eyes . I miss him so very much.
