On the Super Glue website, they recommend using acetone to soften the glue.  Be sure to use the acetone cautiously.  Apply the acetone to the glue, and start working at the glue. Brush, scrape, shave, peel, sand or whatever mechanical means is available to work the glue off. Reapply acetone and continue to work at the glue.

You can chip it off, over time. Try a razor blade...ONLY on the glue.

You could try & put ice on the glue to freeze it so you can chip it away with a flat screwdriver & a towel over it & gently bang it with a hammer..I wouldn't use a razor...(sorry) from experience...its a given that you will scratch your counter top!!

Best of luck!!!
